Desktop widgets

Glanceable cards on the desktop: adding, arranging, customizing, every widget and its options

Adding and arranging

  1. Right-click the desktop (or a widget) → Edit Widgets…. Open windows step aside (they're minimized and come back when you finish).
  2. The gallery at the bottom has one tab per group. Click a widget to add it: it goes to the first free spot, from the right edge inward. Scroll the row with the mouse wheel.
  3. Drag widgets anywhere; a guide shows where they will land, and they line up with their neighbours.
  4. × on a widget's corner removes it.
  5. Done ends editing.

Right-click a widget for Customize… (its own options), Remove Widget and Widget Settings…. Clicking most widgets opens the related app.

Widgets follow the accent color, light or dark style, the clock format and units. Their positions are fractions of the screen and their sizes follow its height, so they keep their place and proportions when the resolution changes. Turn them all off in Settings → Desktop & Dock.
