Overview and workspaces

Every window at a glance, Show Desktop, and virtual desktops

#Overview

Press Super+W, swipe up with three fingers, or use a hot corner (bottom left by default). Every open window becomes a card over a blurred picture of the screen.

• Type to filter by app or title; Enter picks the first.
• Click a card to switch to it; arrows move between cards.
• × or a middle-click closes a window.
• Show Desktop minimizes every window (also: swipe down with three fingers, or a hot corner, bottom right by default).

#Workspaces

Workspaces are separate desktops for separate tasks. There are four by default; change the number in Settings → Multitasking.

• Super+1…9: go to a workspace.
• Super+Shift+1…9: move the window there.
• Ctrl+Alt+←/→: previous / next.
• Swipe sideways with three fingers.
