Game Hub
Game stores, Windows games and apps, performance tools and Android apps
Game Hub sets up gaming in one click each. Steam, Heroic, Bottles and ProtonUp-Qt come from Flathub (sandboxed, with their own graphics runtime); GameMode, MangoHud and Lutris are Debian packages; Waydroid comes from its official repository.
| Group | App | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Game Stores | Steam | Valve's store. Proton runs most Windows games; turn it on in Steam Play. |
| Game Stores | Heroic Games Launcher | Epic Games, GOG and Amazon Prime Gaming libraries in one launcher. |
| Game Stores | Lutris | Install scripts for thousands of games, emulators included. |
| Windows Apps and Games | Bottles | Run Windows programs in tidy, separate Wine bottles. |
| Windows Apps and Games | ProtonUp-Qt | Install newer Proton-GE and Wine-GE builds for Steam, Lutris and Heroic. |
| Performance Tools | GameMode | Feral's daemon: the CPU and GPU run at full speed while you play. |
| Performance Tools | MangoHud | Frame rate, temperatures and load on top of your games. |
| Android Apps | Waydroid | Android in a container, with its apps in your dock. Needs about 1 GB. |
In Steam, turn on Settings → Compatibility → Enable Steam Play for all other titles to run Windows games with Proton.
